There's nothing like hot chocolate to warm you up when the temperatures drop! Let's get together and talk #bikelife, winter riding hacks, and our 2019 bike goals & dreams over a piping hot cup of the good stuff. Bring your bike-curious friends along for this off-the-wheel social.

Note: This social is for women, female-identifying and gender nonconforming people only.

WE Bike NYC Happy Hour

7-9pm, Arts & Crafts Beer Parlor: Morningside Heights, 1135 Amsterdam Ave, Manhattan

Whether you're biking through the winter or taking some time off the bike, join us at our monthly social gathering to hang out, build community, and talk bikes! This event is all gender, so invite your friends!

Note: This event is all-gender.

WE Can't Do It Without You!

WE Bike NYC is an entirely volunteer-run organization, but it still takes a bit of money for us to maintain our current standards of operation!
If you are looking for a way to support fun, free, noncompetitive bicycle events and programming specifically for women, please consider donating to WE Bike NYC!

Community Events

Here are some of our favorite bike events in the #bikenyc community this January!

5BBC Polar Bear Ride
Tuesday, January 1
10:00am, City Hall, Manhattan
More info

The 5 Borough Bike Club (5BBC) will be joining the Polar Bears to ring in the new year on Coney Island. Afterwards, to warm up, they'll make a sprint up to Brighton, with a visit to the Saint-Petersburg Global Trade House, for some Russian Xmas shopping (which is still to come, a week after), and some new year's Russian broth (free-flowing carafes of vodka, or so they say) at the infamous Georgian restaurant, Primorski's.

Women's Bike Chains & Derailleurs Workshop
Tuesday, January 22
6:30-8:30pm, REI Soho, 303 Lafayette St, Manhattan
More info

A well-tuned bike can help make your riding smooth and efficient. Ready to learn how to prevent or eliminate annoyances on your beloved bike? Join REI's expert bike techs for a workshop on how to care for and maintain your bike's derailleurs and chain. Along the way, you'll learn best practices for care and cleaning surrounded by like-minded women. You'll get plenty of get-your-hands-dirty chances to practice. Bring your own bike or practice on one of ours.
