The day was hugely successful, raising over $3500 for Purple Cake Day. But just as importantly, were the learning outcomes and the involvement of the children themselves. We are completely blown away. Amazing. Well done.
"It was awesome to see children of this age become so invested. The idea came from them, from learning about the school value of RESPECT, they then looked at other children around the world and wanted to do something for them. After they heard about Purple Cake Day they were so motivated about this. The children decided to do a gala and Soap Box Derby after being inspired by the Rickshaw Racing some of them had heard about. It was great that it was so student driven."
