Congrats on being admitted to Cal Lutheran!

Congratulations again, {{Preferred}}! This month’s newsletters will have two issues dedicated to the celebration of Black History Month! Cal Lu is excited to educate its community as we embark on this cross-campus celebration to honor Black Excellence today and every day.

Please be sure to tune in all of this month to see all of the great things happening across our campus. As always this newsletter will be filled with engaging information such as happenings on campus, the next steps to becoming an enrolled student, updates, and other details. Remember to be sure to check your email every two weeks because we are still having giveaway opportunities as well!

SPOTLIGHT: Black History Month

Our Black Student Union (BSU) puts on amazing events during Black History Month in February that includes many educational programs.

Our campus-wide celebration of Black History Month and Black Excellence has already begun! On February 1st our kick-off began at our very own Kingsmen Park. Read more about the kick-off here! As we continued throughout our first week we also had a wonderful guest lecture from Dr. Ira Lake on mental health issues.

In addition, we have guests for our Black Excellence University Chapel Series, hosted in our University Chapel. Throughout the next few weeks, we will also be having a film series dedicated to highlighting Black film directors and honoring Black History Month through the visual arts.

All of the events and future events to come are coordinated by our very own Black Employees Association (BEA), the Black Student Union (BSU), and Sister’s Circle by way of the Office of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion. These amazing opportunities for education and collaboration highlight our community at Cal Lu, and we want you to get an inside look!

Something New!

Our International Admission team wants to connect with you! If you are an international student and want to connect with the Admission Team click this WhatsApp link and begin to chat!

We are very excited to share that you will soon be able to connect with our current students on our “Meet Our Tour Guides” website. This launch will connect you with students who are experiencing Cal Lutheran every day! This amazing opportunity allows you to ask questions with our students and discuss their journey here.

YOUR NEXT STEPS

To enroll at Cal Lutheran, you'll need to take care of a few things. Log into your student portal and complete the items you see there to win some Cal Lu swag including sunglasses, hats, water bottles, and pop-sockets for your phone!

Submit your $450 enrollment deposit to secure your place in the incoming class of 2022!

COVID-19 UPDATES

We are continuing to monitor the COVID-19 situation and follow all county, state, and federal guidelines. To ensure a safe environment, Cal Lutheran community members and visitors are required to wear face masks in all indoor locations. Vaccines and boosters are required for all enrolled students and employees.
