Working from Home - A Love/Hate Relationship By Lea Hensel, UNI Business and Community Services
I have been working from home for almost eight years. I have a very love/hate relationship with the situation. And I’ve learned that giving advice about working from home is very similar to giving advice about parenting. What works for me, may not work for you because there are so many different scenarios for working from home.

A Chamber that Loves Its Community - Glenwood Area Chmber of Commerce By Lea Hensel, UNI Business and Community Services
One of the greatest assets of IASourceLink are the resource partners; over 350 public organizations throughout the state that provide expertise and assistance to entrepreneurs and small businesses at little or even no cost. For every small business, being a part of the local chamber can result in tapping into a wealth of services and marketing opportunities, as well as networking to get your business out there and especially in rural areas of the state where the marketing opportunities and networking aren’t as abundant as in larger metros.
So this month we wanted to feature a chamber in a rural area and with a little bit of love in the air because it’s February, it wasn’t difficult to find a chamber that loves its community - Glenwood Area Chamber of Commerce.
Ross' Restaurant - Interview with Melissa Friedhof-Rodgers By Lea Hensel, UNI Business and Community Services
We all love our family. And for some of you, the idea of working with family could send shivers down your spine but millions of businesses are operated and run by family, and it works for many of them. In fact, according to the U.S. Bureau of the Census, 90% of American businesses are family-owned or controlled, accounting for 50% of the nation’s employment and 50% of the Gross National Product.
This month, we wanted the spotlight to focus on family business so I talked with Melissa Friedhof-Rodgers, manager of Ross’ Restaurant in Bettendorf, IA.
