American Craft Beer Week will be recognized May 11-17, 2015 and offers an exciting opportunity for small and independent craft brewers and the community of better beer retailers to celebrate the ever advancing beer culture here in the U.S. Plus, tens of thousands of today’s beer beginners, beer enthusiasts, and hard core beer geeks make time to toast the week. – from the National Brewers Association
So yes, there is an actual week to honor, celebrate, and drink craft beer! 2015 is the 10th annual celebration of this special week. Your favorite craft bars and breweries will likely have special things going on throughout the week. Due South Brewing Co. will be participating in a number of events in South Florida. This month's featured beer is Honey Vanilla Wheat.
Smooth and silky are the best ways to describe this seasonal beer. A special mash process is used to create a fuller body with a smooth mouthfeel. Real vanilla beans are added at the end of fermentation to balance out the sweetness of the honey. We only use the freshest Florida honey in this beer brewed to enjoy in the Florida sunshine while on a boat, at the beach, or poolside.
It will be available on tap at select retailers in South Florida and in the taproom on tap as well as in 6 packs of cans to go.
Call for Craft Fair Participants
We are looking for local artists/crafters to participate in our 6/28/15 craft fair. We limit the number vendors and select from anyone interested based on the uniqueness of their handcrafted offerings. Interested artists should message us through Facebook or email (subject: "Craft Fair" to service@DueSouthBrewing.com) and let us know what kind of craft/art you create. Please include pictures and/or a company website if possible. The photos may be used to promote the event.
The cutoff date for artist submissions is 5/24/15.
Quick facts: we don't charge anything to set up, you must bring your own table & chairs. If you are selected to participate, we will contact you by 6/3/15.
