January's featured beer is Hopicana. Hopicana was created to showcase Due South’s connection to our local community. This Rye IPA is brewed with fresh Florida oranges and honey from an apiary just minutes from the brewery. We hope you love this beer as much as we love sourcing local ingredients.
Hopicana will be available on draft and in 4 pack cans in the taproom and sent out into limited distribution.
Calling All Crafters
Our next Craft Fair will be happening 2/14/16 - Pucker Up for Valentine's - with some featured sour beers on tap as well. We are looking for people to set up and sell their handmade items at the event. Send us an email at service@DueSouthBrewing.com, subject "Craft Fair", with a little information about what you make along with pictures or business links. We are getting a list of interested people until 1/20/16 and we will pick from those. We won't have room for everyone who wants to participate so we select a balance of various work to be displayed.
Some quick details ...
Craft Fair is 2/14/16 - 1 to 4:30
We don't charge anything to set up.
You need to bring your own table/display.
Space will be appx 8 X 8 inside.
You can now see an up-to-the-minute menu anytime but consider this your warning, "Viewing the Due South taplist is likely to cause excessive thirst and cravings for a game of giant Jenga." Our taplist is now on Facebook and on our website and it updates the instant a change is made to the digital menu in our taproom.
Due South Employee Spotlight
This month's featured employee is one of our "Originals," Kara. Since the beginning, she has been pouring Due South beers with a smile. This picture is from the opening day of our taproom, May 12, 2012.
What is your favorite Due South beer and why?
My favorite Due South beer is Category 4 IPA. I love the fact that it is a red IPA made with flavorful hops.
Besides the brewery taproom, where is your favorite place to enjoy a Due South beer?
My favorite place to enjoy a Due South beer is at Beer Trade Co. It is the perfect hang out with delicious food and even better beer selection!
What does it mean to you to be one of the "originals" on the Due South crew?
I've been with the brewery since it opened in 2012. I consider myself a "real OG" of Due South! It has been amazing to experience the brewery grow substantially the last few years and it's a bigger reward to be a part of it every step of the way. It never feels like work when you are a part of a great company that you consider family.
Tap 42 has been a South Florida institution in the craft beer scene for quite some time. Branching out from their home in Ft. Lauderdale, Tap 42 opened a new location in Boca Raton in July of 2015.
From the moment the doors opened, Tap 42 Boca has been a strong supporter of Due South. Famous for their Prohibition Burgers and Salmon Zen Bowl, Tap 42 Boca is a great place to grab a Category 5 IPA, Caramel Cream Ale (ON NITRO!), Legend-Dairy Milk Stout, as well as many specialty offerings from the Due South portfolio.
