A Thousand Ways . . .
"Our Heavenly Father has a thousand ways to provide for us of which we know nothing. Those who accept the one principle of making the service of God supreme, will find perplexities vanish, and a plain path before their feet." - The Ministry of Healing, page 481 (1905).

The Holy Spirit Impressed My Mind!

I met Jan at the front of her home, just cleaning up, post-home renovations.

Jan was a little busy, but allowed me the time to show her through my folder, however, she quickly told me that she really did not need the books. After a few attempts to show her the value of them, it was apparent that she was not going to purchase. I pulled out the U-turn booklet from my bag and canvassed it showing her the importance of having something as a quick health reference. I gladly accepted the donation she gave me. A little more discussion about her life and I was on my way.

As Jan was walking me down the driveway the Holy Spirit impressed my mind to canvass the Beyond DVDs and the impression became so apparent I could hardly resist. (I hadn’t even given it a thought during my discussions with her – It was in God’s timing) so I canvassed the Beyond DVD on pain. Jan was elated. Not only was she excited to get them for herself she also stated that she could use the DVDs for many of her friends that have emotional problems, lost loved ones, and are under stress. Jan asked me if she was allowed to use them for that purpose. “Of course you can Jan. Someone from the beyond team will visit you soon and give you the next in the series”. Jan was delighted.

The Lord uses our visits to minister to those we meet, and only He knows the far reaching ministry of the DVDs we leave behind. Thank you God for another great contact. May the DVDs be a blessing to Jan and her friends. We will continue to pray going from home to home and to listen to that small voice prompting us to meet the ones He wants us to meet.

The Seventh-day Adventists are Right!

It was only two weeks ago that Martha and Carl (names changed) said to each other that they needed to buy a Bible. Little did they know that God was orchestrating a visit to their home by a Literature Evangelist.

Today I knocked on their door and Carl answered. I found him to be very open and friendly and after a short chat on the doorstep he invited me in. I presented our Bible Stories and Bible collection and it wasn’t long into the demonstration when they both began asking questions. Searching for truth and being led by the Spirit of God, they sat forward and listened as I answered their questions.

We opened the Bible and had a Bible study on salvation and the importance of God’s 10 commandments. When we discussed the Sabbath, they were extremely open and accepted the truth that the seventh day is the day of rest and the day that God blessed and sanctified it.

“Then why do people go to church on Sunday?” they asked. When explaining the answer they were shocked, and even a little angry that a religious organisation could change the day of rest from Saturday to Sunday. “So the Seventh-day Adventists are right!” said Martha. “Yes, and that is one reason why I am a Seventh-day Adventist.” I replied.

To watch this couple just drink in Bible truth was a real joy! I then introduced the Beyond DVDs and they accepted to watch them. They will now be followed up by the Springvale Seventh-day Adventist church.

The Very Long Trip!

After our unit meeting I received a lead card from our Area Manager to follow up.

I had to catch the public motor vehicle out of town for a two-hour ride. As soon as I got out of the PMV at the Junction I had to catch another PMV for another hour’s ride. I then had to wait for another PMV which would take another three hours!

It was getting late and when I saw a car parked on the side of the road I decided to go and canvass the driver. As soon as I knocked on the driver’s window I noticed that it was the lady who sent in the lead card. She asked me as to what I was doing and that was when I showed her the copy of the lead card on her email.

She then said to me, “Yes my friend, you know my children are growing up quick and I really want books that can build and mould their characters, and I know that these types of books will really help them out”. I showed her the catalogue and she ordered the relevant books.

Praise God! He has thousands of ways with perfect timing leading us to those who need our books.
