[Volunteer] May Volunteer - Colma Japanese Cemetery Clean-up

Saturday, May 19 at 10 AM - 12 PM
Japanese Cemetery
1300 Hillside Blvd, Colma, CA

The Japanese Cultural and Community Center of Northern California (JCCCNC) is organizing its 9th annual youth and family community Clean-Up Day at the Japanese Cemetery in Colma.

Often times we find ourselves too busy in our daily lives to honor our past and remember those who have passed on.  The Japanese Cemetery in Colma is a unique cultural treasure that deserves our attention, our respect, OUR TIME.  the place represents our history and our loved ones.  For many of us, it’s the place where our grandparents, great grandparents, parents, family and friends are laid to rest.

Meet us at the entrance of the Japanese cemetery at 9:45am! Be sure to RSVP by Tuesday, May 15th
(sign up to volunteer online at http://bit.ly/colmacemeteryvol2018)

[Political Engagement] What's On Your Ballot?

May 26th
JACL Headquarters

1765 Sutter St.

The California primary election is Tuesday, June 5. Do you know what's on the ballot?

We know that the California ballot can be overwhelming, so Nakayoshi is hosting an event for people to come together and share what we know about the candidates and propositions on the June ballot. We'll cover local (San Francisco) and statewide issues.

(Not in San Francisco? We'll post a separate start time for the statewide discussion. If you're interested in information for other local areas, drop us a line!)

**Don't forget to register to vote by May 21!**

See this Facebook event for more details!
