[Volunteer] Sake Day

Saturday, September 29 at 1 PM – 8:30 PM
Hotel Kabuki
1625 Post Street, San Francisco, California 94115

Volunteer with Nakayoshi at Sake Day 2018! Sake Day is an annual celebration of sake attended by 600+ and hosted by True Sake shop in Hayes Valley. The event features 200+ varieties of sake, including exclusive brews from Japan! Proceeds from the event are generously donated to the Japanese Cultural and Community Center of Northern California (the Center). This is definitely one of Nakayoshi's most enjoyable volunteer events of the year, so work hard at the event and then play hard with us at the afterparty!

Ito Yosakoi Fall Season

Ito is starting our fall season with FREE workshops for people interested in dancing yosakoi. No dance experience is required to join! This is a great way to try out yosakoi, an energetic Japanese dance style that emulates the power of ocean waves. You can also check out our performance from this year’s Cherry Blossom Festival (https://www.facebook.com/ItoYosakoi/videos/732788643585827/)

Opening workshops will take place on Fridays 9/7 and 9/13 from 7pm-8:30pm at Nagata Dance Studio (1740 Buchanan Street, San Francisco, 94115). Regular dance practices will follow on Fridays from 7pm-9pm, culminating with a performance at Aki Matsuri on Saturday October 20th, a fall festival in celebration of the Japan Center Mall’s 50th Anniversary.

RSVP at tinyurl.com/itoyosakoi2018. Drop-ins are also welcome. Please wear comfortable clothing and bring water.
