Mentor Protégé Program Spotlight: Minority Environmental Solutions and Services

Prince George's County Blueprint Schools Mentor Protégé Program provides minority and county-based businesses opportunities to broaden their industry knowledge and skills as well as gain access to work with Gilbane Building Company (GBC).

We are excited to spotlight one of our recent Mentor Protégé graduates, Minority Environmental Solutions and Services (MESS).

MESS is a minority- and woman-owned erosion and sediment control company, founded by Donna MP Wilson, Esq., former director of the Prince George’s County Department of Environmental Resources. The MESS team has extensive experience in environmental control, project engineering, and real estate development.

After successful completion of the first Mentor Protégé Program cohort, MESS was awarded work by GBC on both Hyattsville Middle and Southern Area Academy projects. Additional work has been awarded to the team through PGCPS Department of Capital Programs, in collaboration with AC Reliable, on the Surrattsville High School project.
