Pregnancy Resources Receives Grants
We are pleased to announce that two different organizations, The William Street United Methodist Church Foundation and Delaware County Foundation, recently awarded grants to Pregnancy Resources of Delaware County.
The William Street grant allowed us to purchase a 10-module Parenting Pack for our Earn While You Learn Program and a new HD television. The Parenting Pack moves beyond what we currently have for pre-natal and baby care education and addresses parenting children ages two through 18. It includes everything from quelling your child's tantrums to Dr. Kevin Leman's "Have a New Kid by Friday." It is our desire to use this curriculum with our existing clients as their children grow, and to offer different segments of the training in classes open to the public.
Delaware County Foundation is enabling us to purchase a new laptop computer and software. In addition to meeting the needs of our clients, behind the scenes we maintain our data base and keep client statistics. We are thrilled to have an up-to-date, reliable computer that will used specifically for those purposes.
Thank you to these organizations that are committed to serving the Delaware community.
A January Christmas
Thank you to super donors and friends of the ministry Dianne Slivinski (First Baptist Church of Sun-bury) and Lynn Cline (Northwest Chapel Grace Brethren) for dropping in this week with baby clothes, crib sheets and more.
Jack and Ann Armentrout (Genoa Baptist) also stopped by with several knitted baby sets and blankets made by Ann, Donna Lake, and others from the group Stitches of Love.
Moms in our Moms Support Group need assistance with the following:
-Size 5 diapers
-New or gently used baby clothing 18 mos. to 3T
-Grocery or fuel-only gift cards ($10-$15) which they can earn through their participation in group.
The third Sunday in January is recognized as Sanctity of Human Life Sunday, a time for us to remember the millions of unborn lives lost to abortion since it was legalized in 1973.
Thank you to Chapel on the Vine, Delaware Bible Church, New Hope Baptist, North Church, and Orange Rd. Friends Church, all supporting churches that recognized Sanctity of Human Life Sunday.
We also recognize the lost parenthood of those men and women who chose abortion and now regret that decision. Please contact us about our post-abortion healing programs. All inquiries remain confidential.
