God Loves Life!

It was an uplifting celebration of life at this year's Annual Banquet on October 13. Thank you to everyone who attended. The theme, God Loves Life, was reflected in every prayer, by every speaker, and in a performance by Daughters of the King, who did an interpretive dance to the song, "No Longer Slaves." The featured speaker, Kip Boggs, spoke of the joy he and his wife, Jackie, have had in raising their son Kyle, who has Down Syndrome.
Many thanks to Mary O'Brien from 104.9 The River for emceeing the evening, and to Fr. Michael Watson from St. Mary Catholic Church for the invocation and to Pastor Rick Negley for the benediction.
Nurse Manager Kathryn Gannon told the story of a young and selfless client who refused a bone marrow transplant that would have saved her life, but also would have taken the life of her unborn baby. The client gave birth to her daughter, but by then was too ill for treatment and passed away. In her honor, Pregnancy Resources renamed its Life Champion Award Megan's Life Champion Award. It is given to a person who uses his/her gifts to promote and protect life.(See more below.)
Three current clients shared their personal stories and explained how the services at Pregnancy Resources have been beneficial to them.Thank you Brittany, Marianne, and Eric!

Banquet Fun
Banquet guests from Delaware Christian Church posed for a great picture, including the church's new pastor, Sam Rosa. It is his head in the lower corner of the shot. Somebody needs a selfie stick!
