Ultrasounds Save Lives!
In January of 2013, Nurse Manager Kathryn Gannon attended ultrasound training and embarked on completing 75 "training ultrasounds."
On April 1, 2013, we had our first official ultrasound client. it is memorable to us because her mother came with her, insisting that she have an abortion.
After we met with the client privately, she had an ultrasound. The image of the baby was clear and beautiful. The client asked for her mother to come into the room. When she entered, she took one look at the monitor and said, "You will have this baby. Everything is going to be okay."
This client has had struggles, but is working and is an active member of our Moms' Support Group. Her baby is happy and thriving.
We are thankful to have ultrasound, this wonderful tool that shows the parents the image of their child (a real baby!) before birth.
a beautiful choice!
