Meet Our New Operations and Communications Manager!

Welcome, Katie Williams!

Katie brings several years of strategic communications and project management experience, as well as a passion for preservation, to her role as Operations and Communications Manager for the Trust. Prior to joining the Trust, Katie worked as a Senior Account Executive at a strategic communications agency in Washington, D.C., supporting the agency’s large public-sector and trade association clients with content development, writing, website management, email marketing, and stakeholder outreach. Katie previously interned at the D.C. Preservation League and currently volunteers at the Heurich House Museum. She holds a B.A. in History from Bates College. Katie currently lives in Mount Pleasant, one of her favorite historic neighborhoods in DC!

Historic Properties Redevelopment Program Update

Stay tuned for the re-listing of our completed historic rehabilitation project at 1648 U Street, SE. We encourage you to share this affordable housing opportunity with your eligible networks once it's live. We're hopeful a family will call 1648 U Street home early next year!

In the New Year, we also look forward to moving full steam ahead on our efforts to rehabilitate 1220 Maple View Place or "Big Green". We'll be sure to keep you in the loop regarding any upcoming project updates for Big Green!
