CAMPAIGN: Switch to clean Community Power
BHESCo have partnered with Co-op Energy and Octopus to bring customers the pioneering Community Power tariff - the first to offer clean electricity exclusively from community projects. PROJECT: Brighton Road Baptist Church
Our year got off to a fabulous start with the completion of one of our biggest ever solar power projects to date - a 108 panel, 30kW system at Brighton Road Baptist Church in Horsham. The project is expected to save the church £30,000 on the energy bills and reduce CO2 emissions by 160 tonnes (that's enough to offset 176 flights from London to New York). Read more >>>
CAMPAIGN: Big Energy Saving Week 2020
The week of 20th - 24th January was 'Big Energy Saving Week' - a national campaign focused on helping people to save money on energy bills and take action to reduce the amount of energy they use at home. BHESCo delivered 7 events throughout the city, speaking with 86 local residents and handing out dozens of thermometer cards, radiator keys, and BESW tote bags.
SHARE OFFER UPDATE: Closing In On Our £500k Target
Since we teamed up with online investing platform Ethex in October we've raised £368,320, which is 73% of our share offer target. We've used the investment raised so far to complete work on six clean energy projects around Sussex, which added together will reduce carbon emissions by 867 tonnes over their lifetime and save our customers nearly a quarter of a million pounds on fuel bills.
