Hello from Padgett Building and Remodeling.  Welcome to our digital newsletter.

Our 20 years - The Padgett Story

In March 1992, Ron, Don, and Peggy Padgett joined forces and Padgett Building & Remodeling Co., Inc., was established.  Ron headed up the New Home Division, Don oversaw the Remodeling Division, and Peggy became the office manager.  As the company grew and flourished, there were additional team members added:  Scott Loeffler came on board as production manager in June 2000; to keep up with our continued growth, Nancy Rodenmeyer was added as another production manager in August 2002.  In July 2005, Marilee Bayus was added to the team as finance manager; Scott Athmer, in April 2007, as estimator; and, David Padgett, in May 2007, as assistant production manager.

When Padgett Building & Remodeling was contracted to renovate historical housing at Scott Air Force Base in 2006, the company took on a new direction.  A second base contract was awarded in 2008 and successfully completed in 2011; this project was overseen by Vice President David Padgett.

Even with today’s economic climate, Padgett Building has continued to thrive due to its quality craftsmanship and customer satisfaction over the past 20 years.  Recently, the primary focus of the team has been on residential remodeling, additions, and finishes.  Ron, Don, and David, along with the rest of the Padgett Team, are committed to provide the quality product and customer service which sustained them and helped them grow over the first 20 years.

Let the Padgett Team make your dream come true . . . let us help you create/design/construct/complete to your satisfaction any new home, remodel, addition, finish, interior/exterior project that you have been dreaming.

Randy Doughty

Randy (Dean) Doughty has been with Padgett Building and Remodeling for the last nineteen years.  During this time, he has served as Lead Carpenter and Project Superintendent.  Randy's specialites include bathroom and kitchen remodels, room additoins, and basement refinishes.  He also had the opportunity to supervise historic renovations at Scott Air Force Base in Illinois and Langley Air Force Base in Virginia.

Randy was born in Belleville, IL and graduated from Belleville Township High School West in 1975.  He continued his education by completing his Carpenter's Apprenticeship Program, Lead Pain Renovation training and OSHA 30 safety training.  He married his high school sweetheart, Cindy (Crosby) Doughty in 1978, and the two are very proud of three children.  Katie lives in Belleville and works for Anthem College.  Tyler and his wife, Kelsie (Genail), live in St. Louis, MO.  He followed the construction path of his dad to Abener Engineering.  Dylan also lives in St. Louis and works for Fastenal at Proctor and Gamble.

In his free time, Randy enjoys his Tuesday night golf league and restoring his 1977 MGB convertible.  He and Cindy often travel to their clubhouse on the Kaskaskia River or to their family home at Lake of the Ozarks on the weekends.  Randy's goal since working for Padgett has always been to bring people's dreams to life.
