Fire & Water: Our LAFD Divers

The job of a Los Angeles firefighter goes well beyond burning buildings and medical emergencies. The LAFD trains and maintains several elite specialty teams whose members are world-class first responders. Meet the Dive Search and Rescue Team.

LAFD to the Rescue

A huge thank you to our firefighters; out in full force in the stormy weather. Countless rescues filled the news, as they saved people trapped by landslides and rushed to one incident in the L.A. River that drew more than 100 hard-working rescuers.

Meet Mike

LAFD Captain Mike McIndoe is training for the upcoming L.A. Marathon, helping to raise money for the Widows, Orphans & Disabled Firemen's Fund. Read what inspires him and check out the many ways you can support our charity's team.

L.A. Big 5K

Lace up those walking or running shoes for the Big 5K held the day before the L.A. Marathon, Saturday, March 18 at Dodgers Stadium. Register here for the event and be sure to sign up on our team's fundraising page for a chance to earn great prizes.

Labor of Love

The owners of Sirens Java & Tea have dedicated their shop to our fallen heroes, including members of the LAFD who died in the line of duty. Read how you can enjoy a "Cup of Joe" and help our bravest!

Welcome Gayle: New Trustee
