This is the first newsletter of the Stronger Together project. Here you find information about teaching materials and tools that you can use in the classroom to work against radicalisation and for a Stronger Together. The project is funded by the European Union's Education, Youth and Sport Programme Erasmus+ and brings together the expertise of 6 partner organisations from across Europe.
The project has developed a curriculum composed of five training modules combined with a digital board game, facilitating dialogue on the topics of morality, self-control, inclusion & diversity, critical thinking, and preventing & solving conflicts.
We invite you to be part of the Stronger Together community!

Stronger Together Teacher Training in Skopje.
In January 2020, a training event brought together 22 teachers from the project partners’ countries to explore the Stronger Together training materials, test and exchange about teaching activities suggested in the five training modules of the Stronger Together curriculum, and play the Stronger Together digital board game on tablets. In a both dynamic and welcoming atmosphere provided by our North Macedonian partner Eco-Logic, the teachers gathered a lot of new approaches to teaching anti-radicalization in school classes grade 4-6.

The Stronger Together Curriculum
The Stronger Together curriculum is composed of 5 educational modules, designed for teachers who teach pupils between 10 and 12 year old. The curriculum engages a dialogue on five essential themes: Morality, Self-control, Inclusion & diversity, Critical thinking, Conflict prevention & resolution with the aim to develop competences that make us "stronger together" and ultimately help to prevent radicalization.
The modules combine theory with practice. They comprise guidance and activities related to the themes in question. The teacher can adapt his/her teaching and pick activities according to the age of the pupils. Each module is backed by specific exercises of the digital game.
The curriculum is available in 7 languages: English, French, Macedonian, German, Swedish, Italian and Danish.
After the teacher training event in Skopje, the material is now ready for a test phase in the classroom.
You are very welcome to test the material too!

The Stronger Together Digital Game
The Stronger Together digital board game is an app-based game that target pupils in the age 10-12 years old, their teachers and parents with the overall aim of creating a dialogue about the themes: Morality, Self-control, Inclusion & Diversity. Critical Thinking, and being Stronger Together.
The overall purpose of the game is to save your friends from becoming radicalized by making good choices in life and helping others do the same. Each theme contains a number of scenarios of which the team has to make a decision on what they find the best to do. Thus, the game is based on collaboration and dialogue among the team players in the group.
Stronger Together project suggests that the game is played in class in combination with the introduction to the curriculum. In parallel, we encourage the parents to play the game with their children to foster a greater awareness about the importance of the themes and to continue the dialogue at home.
