Per the USA Today's Berkowitz, "The NCAA will have to return to court to defend its new limits on the compensation college athletes can receive for playing sports." In the balance are the Alston & Kessler cases that challenge the cap student-athletes can receive for tuition, room & board, books, fees & incidental costs. U.S. District Court Judge Wilken presided over today's move & will oversee the trial, set to begin on December 3rd in Oakland & last no more than 10 days. More in D1.ticker tomorrow morning. (link)
