#4:Mississippi College unveiled a refreshed brand mark and athletic logo, the latter of which recalls items of significance in Choctaw culture. Director of Marketing Stafford: "We needed a logo that our athletic teams could get behind, could be proud of, and could easily understand its meaning and history. We did not come up with the design on our own – it’s a reflection of our recently invigorated partnership with the Mississippi Band of Choctaw Indians. We had a concept in mind, and presented the logo to the MBCI. With their great blessing, we have this logo, which is an homage to our partnership and reminds everyone associated with MC of the strong and deep connection the University has with the Mississippi Band of Choctaw Indians." #2: Seattle Pacific AD Stava has accepted the Senior Assoc. AD position at Cal Poly (DI) after six and a half years leading the Falcons. Stava: “For us, it was the opportunity to have our kids grow up around their grandparents and aunts and uncles and cousins. That draw to family was really a critical piece of this decision.” (link)
#1: Wayne State (MI) AD Fournier has been placed on administrative leave for an undisclosed reason. Chief of Staff/SWA Wallace will lead the department in the interim. (link)
