#10: Texas selects Populous to help revamp Royal-Memorial Stadium's south end zone to the tune of $175M, $85M of which has already been raised. Longhorns AD Del Conte: "They did a lot of projects and they’re obviously one of the best in the country, and their work speaks for itself. What our vision is for our project, we want to have the best facility and work with the best. #7: James Madison Women's LAX HC Klaes-Bawcombe cited for public searing or intoxication over the weekend as she celebrated the Dukes national championship. Her statement: "I have communicated the issues concerning my actions this weekend and have extended my sincere regrets to Jeff Bourne, Charlie King and President Alger. I further would like to apologize to our student-athletes and everyone associated with the JMU lacrosse program. Even though I was celebrating a National Championship with friends, it is my responsibility to set the tone for our program, and I fell short of that responsibility with my behavior." (link)
#6:'s Mink wonders what would have happened if Syracuse had hired former student-athlete/AC Edsall, who is now, of course, the UConn FB HC, instead of Pasqualoni back in 1991. Edsall says he has no regrets on how he answered a particular question in his interview with then-AD Crouthamel, which he knows cost him the job. Edsall won't reveal what the question was, reflects, "I was upfront and honest and it probably hurt me." (link)

#3: Looks like the same thief hit both the SMU & TCU FB locker rooms one week apart & stole thousands of dollars of electronics. The Horned Frogs have photos of the individual & university police detective McCormack described video footage, "He’d walk to the locker room and if someone came out, he would just turn around and get on his phone. He was in and out of there in 10 minutes. He knows what he’s doing." (link)
#2: Clemson Deputy AD Neff gets the profile treatment from the AJC as the Tigers face Neff's alma mater, Georgia Tech, in Atlanta. Clemson AD Radakovich: "He's just a rising star. There's no other way around it." FB HC Swinney admits he thought Neff was a student when they first met, "He’s been awesome for Clemson, he really has. He’s been awesome for Dan Radakovich. He’s kind of his righthand man." Neff says he's passed on some AD jobs, waiting for "the right opportunity and time." A bit more. (link)
#1:Washington State Asst. AD for the Cougar Athletic Fund Gesser placed on administrative leave as another sexual misconduct allegation is filed, this one by a former WSU student-athlete in connection to a 2015 event. Former Volleyball student-athlete Bodeau: "When other girls came forward, it changed the game. When I saw that it was a pattern, that’s when I decided, 'I’m not going to stay quiet.' If it doesn’t stop now … other girls will be in danger." WSU OEO Executive Director Anderson: "This is new information and a different set of events than previously reported. In accordance with standard WSU practice … Mr. Gesser was placed on home assignment pending a full investigation into the allegations." More details. (link); Washington State Asst. AD for the Cougar Athletic Fund Gesser has resigned. Gesser's statement: "I am deeply saddened that recent circumstances in my private life have created a distraction for the department and university. While I certainly never intended to hurt anyone, I believe it is best for all involved for me to move on." In a letter to the WSU community, "To the young woman that I made feel uncomfortable, I respectfully have a different recollection of the situation you’ve described, but acknowledge that I should never have been in the situation in the first place, and I apologize. I truly never meant to cause you harm." WSU Prez Schulz & AD Chun have accepted Gesser's resignation, "We sincerely appreciate the courage it takes for individuals to come forward with concerns of this nature. We take the allegations extremely seriously, and the Office for Equal Opportunity intends to continue its investigation." FB HC Leach: "I didn’t know he resigned, so that’s news to me. I overheard some of the stuff reported but from what I know, it’s just word of mouth, so I don’t know. Hopefully, none of it’s true." (link)
