Welcome Brittany

The Community Foundation is excited to introduce their new Administrative Assistant, Brittany Whitfield! Brittany is usually the first person who is the introduction to the Community Foundation. She provides information in a friendly, clear manner with the ability to switch between tasks quickly. She also provides managerial and administrative support in all areas of operations; completes projects and performs other duties requiring independent analysis, judgement, and knowledge of foundation functions. She aids in maintaining records, processing complex documents, and compiling regular and special reports.

Brittany received her Associate’s degree in 2017 from Kellogg Community College focusing on Criminal Justice. Before that, she attended Baker College in Muskegon with a focus in Human Services. Currently, she’s attending Trine University to further her education and obtain her Bachelor’s in Criminal Justice.

Prior to joining the Community Foundation, Brittany worked for St. Joseph County Parks and Recreation as well as Five Star Pizza!

Brittany was born in Battle Creek and grew up in Sherwood. She attended Colon Community Schools all her life. She graduated salutatorian in 2014. Brittany spends her free time reading, watching crime shows, and adopting too many stray cats. She is looking forward to all the new experiences that being with the Foundation will bring.
