Coldwater Community School Enrichment Fund Grants

The Coldwater Community School Enrichment Fund is once again pleased to be able to offer teachers opportunities to provide additional academic enrichment or enhancement programs to their students. The goal of the fund is to provide grants for innovative lessons, activities, projects, resources, presentations or other endeavors which would not traditionally be funded through the school district.

Of the thirteen grant applications submitted, three were selected by the committee to be funded. The following grants in the total amount of $4,829.58 have been awarded.

Karen Kiss – Coldwater High School – Increase Technology Understanding for $2,400.00

Christine Hamblen - Jefferson 3rd Grade – Brain Book/ Mindsets in the Classroom for $1,429.58

Stephanie Spolyar – Max Larsen – Bilingual books & Materials for $1,000.00

The committee deliberated greatly over all the applications, focusing on the criteria listed on the grant application. Priority was given to those projects and programs that are innovative, that would provide additional academic enrichment, that would not be a one-time use and that had the potential to affect as many students as possible over the years.
