There is just one week left to submit nominations for the 2018 Business Excellence Awards presented by Sunshine Coast Chambers of Commerce (Gibsons, Sechelt and Pender Harbour). All for-profit, non-government-owned businesses which have been in operation for more than a year, or individuals other than current Chamber Board members, are eligible. If you have too much on your hands or have simple, hard to fill jobs that your organization is looking to cover, here is a possible solution.

Clients living at Sumac Place in Gibsons are looking for both volunteer and supported work placements, as short as two hours per week.  It makes a huge difference in their lives, it is supported by Vancouver Coastal Health, and you get some tedious tasks accomplished.

.  Sumac Place clients walk dogs, clean cars, mow lawns, do office work, wash dishes, prep cook etc.
