Those of you who are at our London biannual meeting
today will have just heard the good news that the UKCCSRC has been awarded funding to continue to support CCS research for another five years.
Celia Yeung, from the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Fund (EPSRC) made the announcement that the EPSRC has given the centre £6.1M support, with the grant starting immediately.
The UKCCSRC will continue to operate the CCS community network, which has grown to over 1000 members, hold networking meetings, support early career researchers (ERCs) and develop international links. There will be some changes in the Centre going forward too, most notably the inclusion of a core research programme, as well as flexible funding for open research calls, which you can read about in the information sheet below.
If you’ve missed the biannual, don’t worry. We’ll be sending out a roundup of the meeting, including presentation slides, via this newsletter soon. Plus, you can keep up with the event on Twitter

And, look forward to a busy next five years in CCS!
