Stepping Closer to Summer!

There's nothing like a sunny day and fresh air to get the creativity flowing, and at Nectar we've been gearing up for a month of inspiring projects and new ideas! Take a look below to find out what's going in your community this May.

Enjoy the sunshine!

We'll be kicking May off with a barbecue at the CCC Bike Rodeo! It's a great opportunity for your kids to learn the rules of the road, with fun activities to try out! Stop by on Stanley for a great afternoon out with the family.

If that's not enough to get your little ones active this summer, Wildcats Soccer kicks off on May 17th! Please check here for how to be added to our waiting list if you aren't already, or contact info@nectarcentre.ca with any other questions.
New at Nectar is our Sing and Drum program for adults with dementia and Alzheimer's, an interactive music session that supports carers as well as their loved ones. It's a fantastic opportunity to try something new together on the weekend.

Finally, our Community Gallery Vernissage is coming up on May 4th. The gallery will be open until late June, and will offer the chance to see just how talented our neighbours are! Relax with some refreshments and meet the artists this Thursday!

Food Talks

A big thank you to Chris Penton from the Beechwood Market, who joined us in April for a rousing and informative talk about the importance of local markets in our neighbourhoods.

We will be ending this season's talks with a special session with the Savvy Company, who will be showing us how to pair select wines and hors d'oeuvres. This special event requires advance booking as seats are limited, so contact the office now to reserve yours!

History Talks

This year's history talks take place on May 2nd and 9th, focusing on the impact of World War I on local families, and the early days of New Edinburgh's development in the 1800s. For more information, please contact info@nectarcentre.ca.

May PD Day Camp

Join us on May 19th for a day of fun in the great outdoors! We'll be climbing trees, getting artsy, and enjoying ourselves all day long.
Click here to register your child before May 12th.

A Taste of Spring

A Taste of Spring is back! This roaming cocktail party in June will take you across the neighbourhood sampling some of the most delicious pairings our local foodies have to offer.

Visit Nectar and Books on Beechwood for your tickets from May 1st - they're sure to sell out fast!

New Edinburgh House

If you are interested in keeping up with the news about the future of New Edinburgh House following last month's meeting, please contact nectarcentregm@gmail.com to be added to our updates list.
