Nectar, NECA and the Crichton Community Council have together developed a community needs survey to help us better understand the recreational and programming needs of the community. Friendly volunteers will be knocking on doors over the next few weeks and Nectar strongly encourages you to fill out the survey which can be found at:


Meanwhile numerous popular community programs continue at the House including the Nectar Community Choir which meets on Monday evenings from 7:30pm to 8:45pm. No experience required, just the desire to have fun while learning to sing in unison and harmony. For more information please contact

On Saturday October 14th from 9:30 to 12:30pm the Friends of Jagruti are hosting a Jumble Sale including baked goods at Nectar, 255 MacKay St. Come on out and support this very worthwhile event.


Surfaces Art Exhibition

Four Fine Arts graduates are organizing their various media exhibition “Surfaces” which opens with the Vernissage on November 23rd from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at the NECTAR Centre, 255 MacKay St. Come and meet the artists Debbie Sleeman, Julie Mercantini, Pat Kenny and Charmaine Swain at the NECTAR Gallery from 1:00 to 4:00pm on Nov 25th, Dec 2nd & 3rd; and  from 11:30am to 2:30pm on Nov 26th; and from 5 to 8pm on Nov 29th and 30th.
