Free Sample Issue Out Now!
We hope you enjoyed the summer conference with us at the University of Huddersfield. Since then, our language professors - Lesley Jeffries and Dan McIntyre - have been putting together Babel, a new print magazine about language. It's hot off the press and, as promised, a copy is on its way to you at your school's address!
Babel has the top language academics in the field behind it, with the highly-esteemed Prof. David Crystal as Linguistic Consultant. It is a fun and accessible read, suitable for teachers and students alike. Babel includes features on new research such as the language of shopping, biographies of leaders in the field, a 'Linguistic Lexicon' explaining key terms in the field of Language Studies, as well as language games and quizzes.
Subscription is available through the Babel website and includes four glossy copies of Babel magazines per year, delivered to your door. The first full issue is due for publication in February 2013, and from then on, on a quarterly basis.
