Happy Friday Dotties!

We are a little crazy around these parts this week as we welcome Ms Fleur De Lys to our core team while Ms Rose heads off to welcome the littlest rosebud to her family. We're also overhauling literally everything we do in the business - because there is no time like the present to make big changes (so much on this coming soon).

So today I thought I would share something quick but useful for you - some of my favourite tips for Instagram etiquette and <<First Name>> ? I would love to hear yours!
Do: Make use of a brand or blog's hashtags (usually found in their bio) to get their attention
Don't: "Tag" people who aren't in the photo or part of the shoot. Nothing is more annoying than getting tagged in ten photos at a time by a photographer who won't normally give you the time of day,

Do: Follow people you are genuinely interested in making a connection with, interact with them. Like their posts, comment on their posts.
Don't: Follow someone just to un-follow them days later if they don't follow you back. the follow/un-follow method of follower growth won't leave you with an engaged audience, just an annoyed one.

Do: Give credit where it's due on your images. Especially to the photographer (and preferably to the other vendors involved)
Don't: Post images with "Pinterest" as the credit or pass imagery off as your own if it actually isn't.

Do: Make sure your Instagram account is easily searchable for your business name (check your display name and bio to help with this). Even consider hashtagging your business name on your posts if it is wildly different or hard to find.
Don't: Forget to update your Instagram links on your website when you change your username.

Do: Email someone if you have an issue - reaching out before jumping to assumptions, or even sending a direct message (which are hard to check frequently but it does happen!) can resolve an issue quickly.
Don't: Comment your dispute on a post. You have no idea who is seeing it, take it out of Instagram to a platform where you can solve the issue.

Do: Make the most of the cross platform integrations to save yourself time.
Don't: Ignore the other platforms. Your Instagram post looks great on Instagram, but tags and hashtags don't always translate to Facebook. Hop on and edit or reword if you can.

Noah

Jubalaires

The Jubalaires' history is fascinating, it has been claimed that they laid down the very first foundations of rap in their gospel / spoken word style of music - they're obviously a very long way away from Lil' Wayne and co, but you can definitely hear it in "Noah".

Regret In Your Tears

Nicki Minaj

Oh, she's back and I LOVE it. This one's supposedly about her ex (rapper Meek Mill), and Nicki gets vulnerable which she actually does very well for a rapper. The low-key dancehall beat underpinning it turns it into a much more upbeat affair.

Fit In

David Dallas

Another smooth number, this time it's from a excellent New Zealand rapper David, despite him sounding very British he's a full blown Kiwi who has excellent production.

Running

Jessie Ware

Jessie is incredibly fabulous - she's a silk white shirt paired with some well tailored high-waisted black pants; the kinda girl who says to a magazine that she slaps on some highlighter and mascara and she's ready to leave the house. You know the ones, it's physically painful to read those sort of profiles in Vogue. But putting all of that aside, she really has perfected that modern, impeccably polished lounge music that comes out of the UK.
