NFL Week 11 Free Picks

We’re entering the part of the season where weather can become a factor. Currently there are no “big” weather games, but keep an eye on it.  We’ve really been on a great run, but it means nothing for Week 11… so let’s get back to work.

New York Jets - 2½ at Houston

Ryan Fitzpatrick is better than anyone the Texans are likely to throw out Sunday, which is really icing on the cake for this pick.  The biggest advantage either team has will be the Jets running game against the Texans front seven.  I know  Houston shut down the Bengals last week & the Titans 2 weeks ago, but NYJ has a bona-fide running game - much better than Cincy and Tenn.  Fitzpatrick is plenty capable of inflicting pain if/when the Texans gear up against Ivory.  Pick: Jets

Miami +1 vs Dallas

Good god! You’d think Romo is greatest QB of all-time coming to the rescue and I’m sick of hearing playoff talk about a 2-7 team.  Both teams should have success running the ball, watch McFadden’s status though.  I’d give the passing advantage to Miami, mostly due to the faltering Cowboys defense.  Miami is a better squad top-to-bottom and they’re getting points at home, which makes this an easy play.  The Cowboys are teetering on an epic implosion and if Romo struggles we could see something special. You might want to tickle a Miami wins by 25 prop bet.  Pick: Dolphins

Minnesota -1 vs Green Bay

I love betting the big games and this is one of them.  The Vikings can cripple their rival with a win and that’s exactly how I see it.  The Vikings are healthier, playing better, match-up better, & will be at home… but I still thought long & hard about going against Rogers in this spot.  Look, Green Bay is going to have to do something about Peterson first and foremost, which means Bridgewater will need to make a few play & I’m betting he’s up-to-it.  Don’t overlook a big play or two from the Vike’s special teams. Pick: Vikings

NFL Power Rankings Week 10

by GTBets - Week 10 caused a minor shift in the NFL Power Rankings.  Denver & Green Bay continued to fall, while the Vikings jumped 3 spots

1. New England Patriots (9-0); beat NY Giants 27-26, same spot â€“ The Patriots survived their toughest test of the season thanks to a field goal by Stephen Gostokowski, who’s now 21-for-21 on the season.

2. Carolina Panthers (9-0); beat Tennessee 27-10, up 1 spot â€“ Only after going 9-0 to start the season does it feel like Carolina has finally silenced the critics.

3. Cincinnati Bengals (8-1); lost to Houston 10-6, down 1 spot â€“ The Bengals’ offensive collapse was unexpected, but not unprecedented when considering Andy Dalton’s 1-4 record against Houston.

4. Arizona Cardinals (7-2); beat Seattle 39-32, up 2 spots - Arizona has blown the NFC West wide open, now holding a 3-game lead over Seattle. They haven’t won the division since 2009.

5. Minnesota Vikings (7-2); beat Oakland 30-14, up 3 spots â€“ Minnesota carries their five-game win streak against Green Bay, Atlanta, Seattle and Arizona over the next four weeks.

antonio-brown-steelers6. Pittsburgh Steelers (6-4); beat Cleveland 30-9, up 6 spots  â€“ Antonio Brown definitely likes Big Ben in the lineup: he has 27 catches for 423 yards since Roethlisberger’s return.

7. Green Bay Packers (6-3); lost to Detroit 18-16, down 2 spots â€“ It’s hard to tell where Green Bay is going after losing at Lambeau to the lowly Lions.

8. Denver Broncos (7-2); lost to Kansas City 29-13, down 4 spots â€“ Starting for the injured Peyton Manning will be garbage-time specialist Brock Osweiler.
