Welcome, 2017 Schools!

U.S. Secretary of Education Betsy DeVos announced the 342 National Blue Ribbon Schools on September 28. Interest in the program was explosive that day: the NBRS website received more than 26,000 page views, with 77% new visitors. By the weekend, the @NatlBlueRibbon Twitter feed had received more than 56,000 impressions. 

Who Are the 2017 Schools? 

 

Consult this infographic for an overview of the 292 public and 50 non-public 2017 schools. You will find data on the proportion of elementary, middle, high, and K-12 schools in this year's cohort, as well as information about the type of public school (Title I, Charter, etc.) and non-public school (religious denomination, independent) and school geographical setting--from urban to rural and in between. You may also search for individual schools from 2013 to the current cohort at our awardees database and access the school's successful National Blue Ribbon Schools application.
