Community Celebration 
The Pan Am flame will be arriving in Georgina on
June 26. Join us to celebrate at the Georgina Ice Palace (90 Wexford Drive) from 2 until 4:30 p.m.

As parking will be limited at the Georgina Ice Palace, Parkview Simcoe Transit will be providing a free shuttle bus service to and from the event. View the Shuttle Bus Schedule for details.
Community Torchbearer #1
Chris Tierney will be carrying the TORONTO 2015 Torch as the Pan Am Games Torch Relay comes through Georgina! Tierney has achieved much success as a competitive athlete and currently plays centre for the San Jose Sharks. 
Community Torchbearer #2
Shannon Doyle will be taking the TORONTO 2015 Torch ziplining at The ROC as an Alternate Mode of Transportation. Doyle was on Canada's National Women's Under-18 Team that won a goal medal at the 2010 IIHF World Women’s U18 Championship.

Pan Am Games Torch Relay
A 41 day journey that shares the Pan Am spirit in over 130 communities. The Pan Am flame was lit in May during a traditional ceremony in Mexico before it travelled to Canada. The torch relay started on May 30 and makes its final stop on July 10 at the Pan Am Games Opening Ceremony.
