8th Hungarian Grand Prix Results

A huge congratulations to Sydney Turner and coach Barb Fraser (TAG), who recently attended the Hungarian Grand Prix in Szombathely, Hungary.

It was Sydney’s first year as a senior and first international assignment.

After making all four event finals, she is returning to Canada with a Gold on beam, Bronze on both Vault and Floor, and 4th on Bars - a truly impressive feat. Way to go, Sydney!

GymBC would also like to congratulate Ilka Juk, who also competed at the event. A former BC gymnast, Ilka is currently on an NCAA gymnastics scholarship.

WAG Compulsory Workshop Recording

Below is a link to watch the recording from last weekends WAG Compulsory workshops by Linda Johnson (USA).

Some of the videos have text errors, and the power points have a couple of changes/errors as well, so it is very important to refer back to the text along with all the updates.

These videos are for educational purposes and coaches should refer to the BC Development Program and Xcel Manual for clarification

This can be anything from photos of a recreational class, to virtual competition clips, to candid training moments!

We’d love to receive any photos or videos of the joy of gymnastics from last year. Please email photos, videos, or links to
