He's back!

We are delighted to welcome the one and only MARK THOMAS back to Volcano with his new show 50 Things About Us, which he describes as 'a show about songs, gongs, loot, tradition, wigs, nicking, statues, art and identity. A sort of funny national edition of Who Do You Think You Are?'

You might remember Mark's first visit to Volcano in 2017 with a show in which he asked the audience to Gamble on the Future. They did, and the upshot was that the balance ended up nearly £4,000 in credit. The winnings went to the Chagos Islands Football Association, who have now qualified for the CONIFA World Cup in Skopje this summer. They still need an additional £1K. You can follow them here and get updates on their fundraisers.

Mark returned in 2018 with Showtime from the Frontline, in which he, Faisal Abu Alhayjaa and Alaa Shehada told the extraordinary story of their attempts to put on a comedy club in the Palestinian city of Jenin.

As always, we're expecting a crowd eager to check out Mark's latest work-in-progress, so please book your tickets in advance to avoid disppointment!

Come and support these young theatre makers from Swansea, who are presenting the UK premiere of Heroes by the award-winning Australian playwright Gabriel Bergmoser.

Jake and Nick are best friends and members of a band that is about to hit the big time. On the eve of a signing of a major contract, Nick invites Jake over for a drink, but as the night progresses it soon becomes clear that this is no friendly catch up. One of them has a secret, the other will use to get what he wants, no matter the cost. With both having friend having tricks up their sleeves, a question arises; who is really playing who?

Heroes is directed by Cai Barnard-Dadds and features Jacob Tanner & Luke Hazell.

Tickets are only £5, and include an opening music set by Kate Newnham.
