2 items for your consideration:
--- LAST CALL ---
1. Professional Portrait Photography

Have YOU reviewed YOUR group's photos?

The PROOFS are posted!

Andy Duback, our professional portrait photographer for the weekend has posted ALL the photos he took of your competing group.

These are the "posed" camera shots taken in the Exhibition Hall (downstairs) after your contests set - with GREAT lighting and poses!
See the online Photo Album Gallery here:

Please use one or both of these links above to view and purchase high resolution PROFESSIONAL images.

This is a SUPER opportunity for your quartet or chorus to finally gain that ONE really decent (formal or fun) photo that you can use in publicity - in print or online - show flyers, brochures, web site, Facebook, etc.  Further, your purchase supports this vital service that the NED brings to you and the convention.  First quartet digital photo is $95 ($23.75/man), first chorus digital photo is $135 (as low as 2.32/man!).There is no obligation to purchase a photo.  However... It would be great if each group purchased at least one photo, please.

It is really easy and affordable!

There is only ONE purchase option necessary for you this year:

With your purchases, Duback will provide a high resolution digitally-downloadable file with NO watermarks - no restraints.  The download will be available immediately after a successful checkout (just follow the emailed receipt prompts). The downloaded file will then be yours to use, print, distribute, anything you want. It’s yours.

If you opt for a second or third image, each is available at a discounted price of $55/image. This discount price will show in the shopping cart.

Take the image and email it to your members!  Or, upload to Walgreen's or CVS photo web sites and order prints - pickup at YOUR local store.  Or order coffee mugs.  Or shirts!  Key rings?  You may do whatever you wish with the image(s). This is much more versatile and economical for all.

Please Note: ONLY ONE person needs to order the photo(s) for your group!

Please contact Andy Duback or Steve Salamin -  if you have any questions or comments.

Otherwise, I hope you enjoy and get some good use out of these photos!

2. Contest Stage Performance Photos

NOW POSTED ONLINE

Posted Oct. 29

The contest stage photos, of your performance, are now posted at the online PICASA WEB ALBUM by Steve Salamin. Select Picasa logo:

Steve Salamin's Picasa Web Albums

Posted there: online-viewing images.

Overall - 2,025 pictures were taken over the course of the weekend.

YOU look great!

  • Images are generally landscape oriented.
  • Only 800 or 1000 pixels wide at 72 dpi.
  • Best for online use/viewing.
  • NONE have been edited or corrected.
  • NONE are watermarked. Ready to review or use.
  • Posted as-is. Subject to your own editing/correction.
  • Full-size original images (file-copy) available.

Issues: (not a surprise...)
  • Flat, level floor. Little elevation. Low stage height.  Low ceiling.
  • Stage Lighting: Quartets - OK.  Choruses - could be better!
  • Distance from camera to stage: great, challenging view/scope
I did my best to accommodate all of the variables/issues, but even then, some images are not optimum.  My apologies.  The distance, the inconsistent, low lighting, the saturation of contrasting colors, all created a challenging task.

However - the contest pictures LOOK GREAT!  YOU look super!

For full-size original images, please see the instructions and contact info online at the album's main page.  I need the 4-digit image NUMBER that appears when you select "More Information" on the right with each opened image.  OK?

Special thanks to John Villere of the Burlington chapter, Green Mountain Chorus, also chapter VP - Marketing & PR, for his assistance behind the viewfinder and controlling the shutter button, during the CHORUS contest (#6 though #10) while I was engaged with my chorus!  Say... "Thank you, John!"
