Preparatory meetings
States and their partners are preparing to have their say before the adoption of the new Post-2015 framework for Disaster Risk Reduction, HFA2. Local and regional governments will meet on 13 March (time and place to be defined by the organizers at a later stage) to discuss their role in the implementation of the new Post-2015 framework for Disaster Risk Reduction, HFA2, and to adopt a political statement.

Local and regional governments are co-organizing a (ministerial) round table on the theme: “Reducing Disaster Risk in Urban Settingsâ€. This round table will take place on Monday 16 March and participation is by invitation only. It will provide an opportunity for an interactive debate between representatives of States and local and regional governments, focusing on the priorities and key measures that should support the Post-2015 framework for Disaster Risk Reduction.
