Highlights from the 102nd International Labour Conference


The 102nd Session of the International Labour Conference (June 5-20) brought together worker, employer and government representatives from 185 ILO member states to discuss employment and social protection in an aging world, social dialogue, and sustainable development.
ILO examines application of labour standards in 26 countries including Egypt, Iran, Saudi Arabia and Turkey. 
Jordan's Labour Minister Dr Nidal Katamine (pictured above right) was elected president of the International Labour Conference. It is the third time a Jordanian has been elected to the ILC presidency. Read his address to the conference.
