A bi-weekly newsletter featuring new music and throwbacks curated by Brian Rinaldi and Raymond Camden

Hey all - help us get the word out by sharing CodaBreaker with a friend or tweeting about us @codabreaker!

You can catch all of the picks in this issue on this week's playlist. New to Coda Breaker? A reminder that all of song picks from our archives are available at

New Music

Some of our favorite recent releases.

Brian recommends...

The Barrel

Aldous Harding

This is a really quirky song that I will admit I wasn't sure about the first time I heard it but have really come to enjoy it - because of the quirkiness. The song comes from her forthcoming full-length debut named The Designer, due on April 26.

The Black Keys

Not necessarily a unique song for the Black Keys, but frankly I love their sound and this new single is near perfect.

Brian recommends...

Fitz and the Tantrums

This is probably a little more mainstream than my usual picks - I wouldn't be surprised if it ended up on Top 40 radio or, more likely, an Apple commercial. However, it is such a fun and catchy song!

Ray recommends...

The Japanese House

A very soft, very gentle song with a title that keeps making me see the word "fart".

New to You and Throwbacks

These are some our favorites that are not necessarily new.

Brian recommends...

Song for You (Mansonair Remix)

I loved Rhye's first album, but for some reason had not bought their release from last year, but I recently caught this remix from it and it is perfect.

Ray recommends...

Don't Fear the Reaper

Denmark Winter

Another great cover - this one is a much slower, softer version of the original.

Brian recommends...

Cerca & Extraño

Entre Rios

Sticking with the Latin music throwbacks I've posted in recent weeks, Entre Ríos is a Latin indietronica band from Buenos Aires, Argentina. This song was one of my favorites off their 2005 album "Onda."

Ray recommends...

Blue Skies

BT + Tori Amos

A great dance track featuring Tori Amos and a song that reminds me of summer. I'm cold, I need this right now!
