PULSE OF THE PARISH
The End of the Liturgical Year: King of kings and Lord of lords
Assistant Rector, Fr. Bryan Biba discusses the significance of the upcoming feast day of Christ the King, which is this Sunday, November 20. In this video he shares about how Christ the King Sunday came onto the calendar and helps us to focus on the importance of Advent.
Collect for Christ the King Sunday
Almighty and everlasting God, whose will it is to restore all things in your well-beloved Son, the King of kings and Lord of lords: Mercifully grant that the peoples of the earth, divided and enslaved by sin, may be freed and brought together under his most gracious rule; who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Amen.

Advent & Christmas at CCA
New webpage now available: https://ccasav.org/advent-and-christmas/
Included on the Main Menu Bar at the top of each page
Greetings Christ Church Family,
As Fr. Bryan mentioned in the Pulse video, Advent begins this year on Sunday, November 27. To help you keep track of events and to easily invite friends and family we have added a new page to our website that lists all the events during Advent and Christmas.
Share the page by using this link . https://ccasav.org/advent-and-christmas/
Or perhaps you would like to share a specific event. Simply go to the Calendar Menu at the top of any page on the website and select “Upcoming Events”. This view gives you details about the event, including a map link and contact information. Located at the bottom of any of the “upcoming events” are links for you to share through your social media and email.
Please know that I am still fine-tuning things on the website during next week. However, if you give it a test drive and find something missing – drop me an email. I will be in the office next week Tuesday and Wednesday and will address your question then.

Quick Photography Sessions in the Nave Every Sunday in November!
9:15 - 10 AM & Noon - 1:30 PM- Meet Valerie in front of the Altar
As we transition to a new database, we would love the opportunity to get a quick picture of EACH family/person in our congregation. Plan to either arrive early or stay late to get a quick shot taken. We will do our best to make this as fun and quick as possible! Our goal is to have full participation from the congregation, so please make plans to be photo ready…but do not stress, God made you beautiful!!! However, showering before church is always a nice goal ;)
Hospitality Plans for Sunday, November 27
Offered after both 8 & 10:30 AM services
I don’t know about you, but after Thanksgiving I am not super excited about eating the leftovers in the fridge at our house. However, eating someone else’s tasty leftovers is a new and exciting adventure! Please make plans to bring your savory and/or sweet leftovers to share with the congregation during hospitality in Hebron Hall. Small cards will be provided, so everyone can let us know about the item you are sharing at the tables. Reach out to Valerie Hanks with any questions.

During the month of November our corporate prayers during worship will invite a focus on SAMS (Society of Anglican Missionaries and Senders) and Janine LeGrand, a SAMS missionary who has been mentoring our very own Cathy Clevenger (CCA member) who is now a SAMS missionary in Uganda! It is amazing how God knits us together so beautifully all over the world! Please take a moment to learn more about how God is using SAMS, Janine LeGrand and Cathy Clevenger to participate in the Great Commission.
