Activity Alliance Survey headlines

Activity Alliance the leading voice for disabled people in sport & physical activity have released the key findings from their annual survey. Some can be found below:
  • Less than 3 in 10 disabled people feel encouraged to return to physical activity after the pandemic.
  • For those disabled people taking part in activity, they are having less positive and inclusive experiences since the pandemic. This is because they feel that compared to last year, activity leaders haven't met their needs and included them. This means they are less likely- to say that returning to activity was a positive experience in comparison to non-disabled people (52% vs 70%).
  • There is a strong feeling amongst disabled people that the workforce at many levels doesn’t understand disability and that spaces still aren’t accessible.
