And let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works. Hebrews 10:24
Dear <<First Name>>
We are grateful for the 18 new volunteers who completed our pro-life ministry training seminar in February and who are now working on their on-the-job training at the Women’s Center. Our desire is that their involvement in this ministry would encourage them to grow in their walk with the Lord and that we would be able to stir each other up to greater love for God and others and to good works in His name! Pray that they will not be overwhelmed by all that there is to learn initially, but that they would continue to be excited about this opportunity to serve. Pray for those of us who are helping with their ongoing training that we would be good teachers, and that each person would find the place in the ministry that is the best fit for them.
Thank you for your prayers for Dr. Miriam. She has continued to recover remarkably well, and her last doctors visit showed that all the damage to her heart and vital organs was healed! While she is still not 100% and tires easily, the doctors have given her the go ahead to try to return to normal activity. She will leave for the states May 3rd where she will be taking on her new job as ABWE Medical Director. In the meantime, she has the monumental task of packing up her apartment and wrapping up her ministries here. Pray for strength and wisdom as she works on these things while still trying to recover.

As Miriam transitions to the states, I will be assuming the responsibility for the village medical ministry. I will need to downsize it a bit to make it manageable along with the other ministry responsibilities I have. This requires making some hard decisions about where to cut back. Pray for God to give us wisdom. We continue to pray for God to provide another family physician to take over this ministry.

We will be having a board meeting for the ministry of Choose Life on March 16th. We plan to finalize our work on our board governance documents and to look at reports from 2018 and goals for 2019. This will be Dr. Miriam’s last meeting as chairman of the board so we will also need to appoint a new chairman. Pray for God to give wisdom and unity. We are very grateful for this group that has provided guidance for the ministry since its inception. We need to add some new members to our board as some of our initial members have had to leave for various reasons. Pray that God would guide us to people with areas of expertise that would be beneficial to the development of this ministry but even more importantly for people who would have a passion for pro-life ministry and for reaching the lost.

Thank you for participating with me in this ministry through your prayers and encouragement!
Because of Christ,
Holly Friesen
