Front Porch Lecture Series: A Conversation with Barbara Coombs Lee

The Front Porch Speakers Series is excited to have guest speaker Barbara Coombs Lee—an activist, author, former family nurse practitioner and physician assistant—on May 13th. After 25 years ministering to the terminally ill, Barbara began a new career in law and health policy. This work led her to the positions of Chief Executive Officer and President of Compassion & Choices, the nation’s oldest and largest organization working to improve care and expand choices at the end of life.

Barbara has recently published her new book Finish Strong, the guide to achieving the positive end-of-life experience you want and deserve. It covers the tough issues around aging and dying other books shy away from. It also reflects Barbara’s passionate conviction that individuals can be empowered to chart a course for themselves and loved ones that reduces suffering and reflects their personal values and beliefs.

Join the Front Porch Lecture Series for this talk on Monday, May 13th at 7:30 pm in the Willamette Hall Conference Room at the Mirabella. Happy hour will follow the event. Books may be purchased on line and will also be available at the event for a $20 donation to Compassion & Choices.
