After a two year wait we finally had a delivery of charming driftwood sculptures from the studio of Kirsty Elson. Many mimic to varying degrees of success, for us, there is nothing better than one of Kirsty's delightful works.
Her work goes from strength to strength and is often seen in the glossy magazines. Prices are keen too, not letting her success go to her bank managers head! More new works from Valerie Price-West arrived too, along with two pieces from the very talented Korean artist Jin Eui Kim.
Kirsty Elson - £85.00 - £300.00
Kirsty spends her days collecting driftwood and beach finds before settling down in her Cornish studios to create the charming sculptures that transport their owners to the very seaside of their making. Two years of wait is over and we have six sculptures available. Kirsty has asked us to keep these off the internet due to some profiteering from some of her collectors. The price of success! If you can't make it to the gallery we can arrange delivery!
Jin Eui Kim - £175.00 - £225.00
Jin Eui explores in depth of tonal effects and spatial illusions, creating works that are both visually and intellectually challenging. He makes both none-functional sculpture works of horizontal and vertical cylinder forms and functional ware, applies the principles of creation of illusory spatial phenomena such as gradient in tone and size of bands. He also tries to understand more of the quality of clay and how it can be combined with subtle variations of tone to create the illusory spatial phenomena.
Valerie Price-West - £130.00 - £595.00
Valerie is a active horse rider, rower and ceramicists and combines each activity within her full schedule. We love her War Horse and Letting Go series that capture the very essence of horsemanship. Her new 'Let The Fun Begin' series adds masked riders to her beautiful arabian horse sculptures. Designed with fun in mind, we would love your feedback!
Magda Bethani - £30.00 - £95.00
Coming soon from the Republic of Ireland are the delightful work in gorgeous greens and blues by Magda Bethani. They are on their way! More information coming soon too.
