Conversations Report Launch

The Innovation Zones at Queen's University and the Greater Shankill Children and Young People Zone will launch the 'Conversations' research report on Wednesday 23 November at 9.30am, Council Chamber.  Children and young people from the Greater Shankill participated in these Conversations about the "The Story I want my life to be".

Mural celebrates pupils' sustainability efforts

Queen's University welcomed pupils from West Winds PS on campus, to take part in biodiversity workshops and to see the unveiling of a special mural celebrating their work with our academics and gardeners on a number of projects.

Queen's Vice-Chancellor and Minster Deirdre Hargey visit Market area of Belfast 

Queen’s Vice-Chancellor Professor Ian Greer, along with Communities Minister, Deirdre Hargey, senior officials from the Department for Communities (DfC), and a representative from the Head of the Civil Service visited the Market Area of Belfast for a site visit and briefing meeting on the partnership between Queen’s Communities and Place (QCAP) and the Market Community.

A new Prostate Cancer Centre of Excellence is set to open at Queen’s University, thanks to a generous £1.6million gift to establish a clinical research facility at the Patrick G. Johnston Centre for Cancer Research.

St Matthew's Church 150 Years Exhibition Launch at PRONI

Congratulations to colleagues in the Centre for Public History at Queen's, whose work in celebration of St Matthew's Church's 150th anniversary will now be housed at the Public Records Office of Northern Ireland (PRONI).  The exhibition of photos and artefacts was gathered with the help of the Greater Shankill community.
