From the President

What a year it's been already! Earlier this month we held a social media workshop with TwoSocial whizz-kid, Gareth Kidd. We hear the attendees are rearing to write their #socialstrategy now. And we had a great evening event to learn about communication's role in safety leadership on May 5.

Join us for on the evening of Thursday 26 May and get to the heart of what the Budget really means, with the latest analysis from financial journalist Bernard Hickey.  Check out the event here.

We're also planning a Wellington World Conference to offer the opportunity to learn from some of the NZ and international speakers attending world conference in New Orleans. This will be early in July – so keep an eye out for the invite.

Join the Wellington board

As a result of a couple of our board members moving to new ventures, and to enable us to deliver our exciting and event-full programme for members, we have a number of positions available mid-term to join the IABC Wellington board.

We’re looking for five communicators to fill several key roles including Directors Professional Development and Event Management (2) and to provide additional directorial support in the busy roles of Communications and Membership.
To join the board you need to be an IABC member (could be a good time to join?!), to have enthusiasm, smarts and initiative, and to be prepared to roll your sleeves up. You will also have a lot of fun.
If you are interested in finding out more, please email to request the EOI material. If you have any questions, please talk to any member of the current board.
