Sharing Stories

Last week, a team from Delaware City Vineyard church in Ohio visited Casa Gabriel. Along with Phil's cousin and his wife, the team painted the study room upstairs, a bedroom and the hallways. While they painted, the mom of three of our Casa G boys volunteered to come cook a special dinner, simply to bless the team who was blessing us. We all ate dinner together and had a time of sharing testimonies. During the time, Phil said:

"The reason we share our stories is to be reminded about how God works uniquely in the life of every person. We share our stories because we are all impacted differently by the same incredible God."

The boys nodded. Sharing stories and testimonies is important in this ministry. In coming to Casa Gabriel, the boys each have a story of where they come from ... and where they are going. They chose to come to Casa G, as a decision to move towards a better future. Along the way, we hope and pray for them to fully see how God has been shaping their stories and has amazing plans for their futures.

We are always thankful when a team comes and shows love through practical acts of service and simply spending time with our boys. When we see the freshly painted yellow and blue walls upstairs, we will be reminded of a day of sharing work, a meal, and stories.
