Update from the McCrackens in Portland

In April 2016, we organized our first Rockwood United Worship event--the first time so many churches in Rockwood experienced collaborative worship.  An inter-church committee (chaired by Scott) planned the event, an inter-church worship team led us before the Throne, Luis Palau preached and many responded to the altar call, and many others were blessed and encouraged.

This past February, Rockwood United Worship 2 was planned by a bigger, more diverse inter-church committee (without Scott) and they did an excellent job.  Local Hispanic pastor Jose Gonzalez preached and did an AMAZING job! A group of Latinos played the Shofar trumpets, 4 pastors prayed simultaneously the Lord's Prayer in 4 different languages and many people were praying with and for others afterward.  It was a real unifying experience for the Church and the community of Rockwood.

We continue to envision a community where nobody is invisible and everyone has access to food, freedom, and forgiveness.  This will not be possible without a unified Church in Rockwood.  Thanks for your continued prayers for Rockwood's Body of Christ.

* The Palau/Rockwood Festival we were planning for this summer has been postponed until the end of NEXT summer (2018).  Pray we can see a momentum of commitment and preparation between now and then.

*  We received the second notice in 4 months that our support account at ITeams was in a negative balance, and told we would need to take a salary cut and work on raising more support.  This was NOT due to more expenses, only to decreasing support.  Praise God, 3 couples who already support us doubled their support this month, two couples gave generous EXTRA gifts, and a new couple (from our church) joined our support team!  March is ending with our account just "in the black" and no need to take a salary cut just yet (though we will not get our ministry/business expenses reimbursed for the month).  Thanks to God for meeting our needs and thanks to all who let Him use them in doing so.

* Vicki's parents are making preparations to sell their house and move in with us.  They are using money from selling their house and paying for an "in-law suite" to be added to our house so they can have their own independent place as well as having us right here to help as needed.  Please pray for this major life transition for them.  We are pleased and honored to have them as we have been inviting them to move in since Vicki's dad had his stroke back in September 2015.
