News Summary
- Many temperature records were broken this week as a massive heat wave baked California. Inverness hit 100F which WMF has never seen before. Cooler temps forecasted for this week.
- An interesting story about how Orca 0139 that washed up on a beach in Point Reyes in 2011 ended up being displayed at the Cal Academy in SF.
- The September full moon – the Harvest Moon – happens overnight on September 9, 2022. This full moon lies near Jupiter and Saturn. Look for it, should be a good one.
