Hey y'all,

Before I officially moved to Asheville—before I even found an apartment—I bought a ticket to my first show at the Orange Peel

Live music has defined so much of my time in Western North Carolina: synth rock at the Mothlight, lady rockers at the Grey Eagle, bluegrass and chicken wings at Foggy Mountain, the Symphony at Thomas Wolfe. Whether long-awaited or totally impromptu, the shows I've attended around the region have made some of my fondest memories.

I think it's gonna be a while before I reprise my role of Frequent Concert Goer, but luckily there are plenty of livestreams happening to hold us over, including the return of Downtown After 5 (virtually). Check out more below. 👇🏽

Until next week,

Emily Glaser, Managing Editor

PS. We're still looking for pics of you (and your pups, if you've got 'em!) enjoying the great outdoors! 🌲

CFWNC has shifted to allocate additional grants and funds to nonprofits addressing these increased needs during COVID-19—find out how in this week's newsletter exclusive
