At Five Years, We're Taking Big Steps

Our 4th Season ended on a high note and now we're preparing
for a new year, a new season, and a new company

Part of the growth we experience as a company is ushering in new blood into the group.  It is the rush and explosion of new energy that takes SSC to new heights.  We're thrilled to be holding auditions for our new company members and ambassadors.  If you want to join the magic, we invite you to come be brave!

ANNOUNCING OPEN AUDITIONS for Savannah Stage Company's 2017 Season. We are a professional theatre company looking to hire artists for our 2017 Company. All positions are paid. Sign up to request an audition slot below. We will email you back with a confirmed time. 

Auditions will be held in one hour groups sessions based on bravery, imagination, team work, and movement. Actors will be asked to learn a movement piece. Select actors will be asked to stay to perform a prepared monologue and 16-bars music to be sung a capella. Please be prepared to stay for your entire time slot.

JOB TITLE: Operations Manager
DEPARTMENT: Administrative
STATUS: Paid | Flexible hours | Part Time
REPORTS TO: Board of Directors

Savannah Stage Company, a professional 501c3 non profit theatre company approaching their 5th Season of bring live professional theatre to the Southern Coastal region, is seeking an OPERATIONS MANAGER. Position will play a leading role in all Administrative aspects of this growing collective of professional artists.

Ideal Candidate is proactive, detail orientated, solution based, and focused on learning and growth.

Duties include:

  • Work with Board of Directors and Department Heads to create and maintain annual and incremental budgets
  • Work along side Artistic Director to oversee daily operations
  • Banking and bookkeeping
  • Issue and collect contracts for artists and events
  • Ensure vendors and artists are paid on time and in full
  • File appropriate paperwork for various events
  • Ensure that the company remains in good standing with IRS, City of Savannah, and The State of Georgia
  • Oversee Administrative staff and communicate to Department Heads
  • Work with the Advancement department to apply for various Grants
  • Supports Company Mission Statement and upholds Company Values

JOB TITLE: Creative Director
DEPARTMENT: Creative
STATUS: Paid | Flexible hours | Part Time
REPORTS TO: Artistic Director and Operations Manager

Savannah Stage Company, a professional 501c3 non profit theatre company approaching their 5th Season of bring live professional theatre to the Southern Coastal region, is seeking an CREATIVE DIRECTOR. Position will play a leading role in all Creative aspects of this growing collective of professional artists.

Duties include:

  • Design and implement marketing materials through print, media, and radio
  • Manage and update social media accounts
  • Develop press releases/email campaigns 
  • Assist with the preparation and delivery of bulk mailings 
  • Maintain and update email address lists and coordinate mass emailing campaigns
  • Evaluate target markets and propose marketing strategies
  • Design and distribute a bi-monthly newsletter
  • Gather analytical data
  • Edit and produce video and photography content with the help of a photographer and videographer
  • Manage multiple projects from concept through completion
  • Develop creative programs and design concepts that meet the business objectives of the organization
  • Manage and supervise the Graphic Designer and Social Media Manager
  • Supports Company Mission Statement and upholds Company Values

JOB TITLE: Advancement Director
DEPARTMENT: Advancement
STATUS: Paid | Flexible hours | Part Time

Savannah Stage Company, a professional 501c3 non profit theatre company approaching their 5th Season of bring live professional theatre to the Southern Coastal region, is seeking an CREATIVE DIRECTOR. Position will play a leading role in all Creative aspects of this growing collective of professional artists. 

Duties include:

  • Develop and execute the plan and strategy for annual and major giving programs.
  • ​I​dentify prospects for annual and major gifts, and cultivate meaningful relationships with them in order to secure significant contributions while increasing the renewal rate and giving levels of current donors.
  • Event-based outreach and fundraising and with a special focus on face-to-face donor relationship development. 
  • Organize the annual fundraiser, galas, events and campaigns. 
  • W​rite and submit​ small-targeted grants to fund programs. 
  • Orchestrate board retreats and board orientation, attend board meetings, and serve on other board committees.
  • ​Maintain an updating donor database
  • Assist in direct mail
  • Gather content for quarterly newsletter
  • Attend events and network with other local businesses
  • Tear down and set up information tables at productions and events
  • Create content for campaigns
  • Supports Company Mission Statement and upholds Company Values

COMPANY SPOTLIGHT


CYNDEI PRATHER is persistent and grounded.  One of our newest members and diving into the deep end.  Cydnei is a graduated of SCAD and joined us this fall in directing our company at the 24-Hour Plays at Muse Arts Warehouse.  Her energy and attitude is infectious.  What a learner this gal is!  She sits in on rehearsals and just watches and takes notes, she's always eager to grow and discover something new.  We're stoked to have her and feature her in our 5th Season opener, (it)'s B.I.G. The Musical as well as our touring production of the Call of the Wild.  You'll have to keep your eye out on Cyd - she is doing the thing!
